A funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday, July 5, 2002, in Faith Lutheran Church in Portland for Else H. Johansen, who died July 1 at age 85.

Else Johnsen was born April 4, 1917, in Nordreisa, Norway. She immigrated in 1958 to Portland, where she was a food handler for the Lloyd Center Meier & Frank employees' cafeteria. for the Parkrose School District, primarily in Parkrose High School, and then meal coordinator for the Hollywood Loaves and Fishes. She lived in Seattle since 1993. In 1944, she married Arne; he died in 1988.

Survivors include her daughter, Solfrid Hoover; sisters, Sigrid Riise and Anna Hendriksen; and one grandchild.
