A funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday, July 5, 2002, in Fuiten Rose & Hoyt Funeral Home for Evelyn M. "Gomma Evy" Byers, who died June 29 at age 103.
Evelyn Bennett was born April 11, 1899, in Spencer, Neb., and moved to Tangent in 1902. A homemaker, she moved to Gales Creek in 1961. In 1917, she married Bliss B.; he died in 1962.
Survivors include her daughters, Blissina E. Gulvin and Bette Mead; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Remembrances to First Christian Church in Forest Grove.
