Looking for assistance in locating a death record for HEMAN DEAN 24 June 1888.

My GGG grandfather HEMAN DEAN was born in Canaan Ct. 4 April 1794. He married MARY ANN PHILLIPS on 10 November 1811 in Canaan, CT. They moved to Lancaster, NY abt. 1833. He & his family are in the 1850 census in Lancaster - two of his sons are HENRY WILLIAM DEAN & ELI E. DEAN. MARY ANN PHILLIPS DEAN (first wife) died on March 7, 1851. HEMAN bought 45 24/100 acres of land in Lancaster in the area known as the Buffalo Creek Reservation in April of 1852. In December of 1852 he took a trip to Canaan to marry CHLOE HANCHETT/HANCHELL and then they returned to Lancaster. HEMAN DEAN died on 24 June 1888. This is where we need help. There is no record of his death (that we can find) in Lancaster or Buffalo, NY or in Canaan, Ct. - Help? or suggestions?
