William & Katherine Halliwell

I am trying to find information on my great-great grandparents, William & Katherine (McKinnon) Halliwell of Wappingers Falls. I know that William supervised in the Dutchess Bleachery (overall factory??) in the 1800's, and that they had two children - John Thomas, born 04/29/1855, died 07/16/1857, and Lillian, born 12/05/1858, died 02/09/1886. Lillian married Thaddeus Crane Wakeman. I am unable to find birth dates, or any information about William & Katherine, and I would be very grateful for any help anyone could give. Thank you!
