I am researching my ggggrandfather, Pierre Duflo who married Anna Catharine Terrilleon 8 Nov 1848. I presume they were married in New York, as their children were all born there in Lewis County. I have found Terrilleon's in the cemeteries in the area (online), but can find NO TRACE of this surname anywhwere else. Not even with soundex and other spellings. Yet I was told the name is still common in areas of New York. I am trying to trace her family. She was born in Alsace (France) in 1820, but he was here in 1841 so their marriage had to have taken place here. They ended up in Michigan.
