I'm trying to authenticate the parentage of John Goffe Moore. There are two (at least) D.A.R. members who list them as Margaret Goffe and John Moore; however, my research of Margaret (Peggy) Goffe shows that, although she had two sons (Goffe and John White Moore) who might qualify to be "John Goffe Moore", neither was married to Emily (Emilia) Stark, who was the wife of MY John Goffe Moore. The Stark genealogy does say he was married to Emily Stark, both born about 1783. Their marriage date is supposedly 1803 (December).
Does anybody know anything?
