My name is Gordon hendrickson and I was born in Mandan,ND in 1935. I now live in Albuquerque, New mexico. My Great Grandfathers name was Hendrick Jacobson and my Grandfather was Sander Hendrickson. My Fathers name was Alfred Hendrickson. My Grandfather homesteaded on the heart river, about 8 miles west of Mandan. My Uncle Roy stayed on the homestead and my father purchased land next to the homestead. My father married Nellie McGinnis and they had 4 children. Lois, Lyle, Gordon and Karen. We all went to the heart River School. I went to Mandan High for one year and we then moved to Worden, Montana and I graduated from high School in 1953. I went to Rocky Mountain College and graduated in Education and worked for the YMCA for many years.
I married Nancy Gilchrist and in April of 2008, we will have been married for 53 years. We have 5 children and 8 great grandchildren. I am a survivor of pancreatic cancer and in June of 2008, I will celebrate 6 years of survival.
