My Grandmother, Dorthea Almlie (nee Olsen) Isted, was born in the Dakota Territory in October, 1881, in a place called "Silver Prairie" to Norwegian immigrants. I, too, would like to know just where Silver Prairie is in modern North Dakota. My mother, Nona Audrey Isted Hostetter, was born in McLeod, ND, in 1912. Could this be near "Silver Prairie"?
