I am searching for any information for Jeff/ Jefferson James Riggins born about 1851 in North Carolina, family thinks perhaps near Raliegh and that there were a couple of brothers.
Fathers name is either Jim or John.
I first find document proof of him in 1879 when he married in Montgomery Co. Illinois. Then in the following census in 1880 and beyond. All give North Carolina as birth state.
