Buncombe County Edges

I would like to share any information regarding the Edge family in Buncombe County. My grandfather Len Zeth Edge was born on 25 October 1886 in Asheville. I think his father was Lenard, born in Bladen County, North Carolina. I would like to know anything about the history of Ashland in the 1880's.
