Hello Carolina Cousins.
Although I am my family's current genealogist. This query isn't exactly on that subject. Allow me to explain.
I am a Historian and Folkloreist in Jackson County, NC. I have been trying to do research on Civil War related Stories in the region, and subsequent hauntings, and ghost stories.
There is a plethora of such stories throughout the Piedmont, and Coastal Regions, however, there seems to be a great lacking in the Mountain Regions. It is my desire to try and document such history and legend, so it will be here for future generations. As we all know, as the older generations pass away, this valuable knowledge goes with them.
If anyone can help me in any way, or point me in a good direction, I would be excedingly grateful.
Please bare in mind that that as far as the hauntings, etc, I am not limited to Civil War era information. All would be appreciated.
