I am looking for information and family of the following Blackurn's. Calvin C., b:1850 NC, married Mary Jane (Lewis?)b: 1852 TN, daughter of
William and Celia Jane(Campbell)Lewis. I am wondering if Calvin might be the son of Solomon and Mary (Elrod) Blackburn. I have some conflicting information with the census'. 1860 Pine Swamp Twnshp, Ashe Co., census show's a Calvin Blackburn age 10 in Solomon's househould. Other sources list him as James Blackburn birthdate,family and place are the same. 1870 Census shows Calvin Blackburn living with William & Celia Lewis' family. 1880 Lewis Fork, Wilkes Co.,NC has him as head of household with wife Mary J. and the following children, Francis M. son 8,Josaphine dau. 6, William M. son 4, Colonel M. son 1.There is also daughter Bina Elma b: 1882 NC, my gg-grandmother and she married Marvin Oscar Raby b: 1877 NC, abt. 1898 in NC. In the 1900 census they are in Bedrock Precinct, Nez Perce Co., ID. Also interesting in the 1900 census are Jacob and Effie Faw who traveled west with my family.I also know these families who are listed in the 1900 Idaho census are related, Mitch, Addie, Ellie and Nellie Blackburn.Martin, Georgia, Charley and McCoy Blackburn. I hope that someone out there can help me with this Blackburn family.
