I'm looking for my grandfathers family they were from the Hot Springs, Big Pine, Spring Creek area's in Madison County NC.
My grandfather's name was Leroy Johnson b:1910 D:1990 he was married to Frankie Sands b: 1910 D:1998. His father Jone "Jonas" Johnson was from spring creek area his mother Allie Roberts was from the Big Pine area. Jone's Father was Charles Johnson his mother was Margret Waldrop ? on her last name.
My grandparents Leroy and Frankie resided in Hot Springs NC were Leroy was the police chief for 30 years. Any and all help is appreciated I have had the hardest time with his side of the family my grandmothers side hasn't been so hard so I find myself getting frustrated with that side of my family research.
