My ggg grandfather, James Rose died in 1825. He had at least one brother whose name was Stephen Rose. One of his son's name was Cornelius Rose. I believe that my line derives from Scotland into Virginia and then into North Carolina. James owned many acres of swampland. My father and grandfather both lived in the Garysburg area. This line is also related to Paul Howard Rose, the founder of Rose's Stores in Henderson. Anyinformation is appreciated.
