In the 1970's I purchased (in Oregon) a daguerreotype of a woman with a very interesting face. While looking at it late one night, something told me to look behind the picture. After prying it out, I found a newspaper article that said the following:
"At the residence of the bride's father in Parsonsville, Jefferson county, Iowa, January 1st 1868, by Rev. R. J. Kirkpatrick, Mr. William W. Huff, of Hannibal, Mo., and Mrs. Victoria Brown of this county.
A large circle of friends greeted the happy couple on the occasion of their auspicious announcement of the New Year."
The announcement if followed by a typical Victorian poem about marriage.
Is it possible anyone reading this is related to either of the people mentioned in the article?
