I am interested in learning everything I can about PECKs in Mower and Olmstead Counties, Minnesota.
My g-grandfather, Orrin H. PECK (b. 27 MAR 1850), also known as O.H. Peck, died in Stewartville, Olmsted County, 11 JUN 1934. According to his estate probate records, he lived at Lot number 20 in Wooldridge's Second Highland Addition to the Village of Stewartville. At time of death, he had a 1/4 interest in the estate of the late William COLTON of Mower County. I'm not sure what their relationship was.
His son, Orrin Eugene PECK (b. 8 MAR 1904, Pleasant Valley, Mower County, MN; d. 28 MAY 1980, Rochester, Olmsted County, MN), who was living in Haverhill Township, Olmsted County, was his only heir.
O.H. had been married to Nora A. Olson. They had also had a daughter, Nona Elisabeth, who had died at age one.
O.H., Nora, and Nona are burried in the abandoned Pleasant Valley Cemetery, behind the Immanuel Missouri Synod Lutheran Cemetery. I believe William COLTON is also burried there.
According to my grandmother Mabel WHITE PECK, wife of Orrin Eugene Peck, O.H.'s middle name was Hilton, though on his death certificate it is listed as Holton.
Any help in hurdling this brick wall will be greatly appreciated.
