OK, looking for relatives named Korf all in the county from the 1800s. Yes, I know there are none but if you read anything in historical papers and family bibles and other vital info, of those came from Germany. I seem to be related to most of the families from that time. =-)
I come from the Johann He(i)nrich Korf full name after coming to USA in 1867was John (Henry) Korf sometimes Henry John Korf and Gertrud Maria (Mary) Kemper aka occasionally as Maria Gertrud. She had a sister at least want to locate family of hers too. I suspect that Maria Katherina Kemper who married a Heinrich (Herman) Korf was also related closely. It's possble that this Heinrich alais Herman Korf and my Henry are brothers many years apart which is very possible if the mother was young and my Henry was among the last born children, but no definite confirmed info on this though; the parents are the same and I have a copy of Henry's death certificate that says the same parents as Herman's. Gerhard H. Korf and Mary Dersing. The other thought was that he was the Herman's son.
My Henry was born May 18, 1845 and like about 4 or so years older than Henrich/Herman's daughter Elisabeth.
Anyway Herman's son Gerhard F. Korf and my Henry lived in the very some area about 2-4 lots in Getty township according on the census. Seem Herman had has mom who may have been called Anna who may be same as the Maria Katherina Kemper.
FYI related to the Kemper/Rellers/Fuchs/Timmers and the whole gang lol. Anyone going to Germany? LOL!!
