I am searching for information on my maternal grandfather, Arthur Emerson Ward. He was born in Alma about 1886. I know he was a licensed barber and a Mason. He was married once, before my grandmother. My gm's name was Helen Hope Everett.
I heard grpa went to Illinois, a place called "Mudlavia." Could have beem Midlothian, with a woman named Fraces Chilelewski.(sp?) He died there (I think in the late 50's) in a sanitorium for severe arthritis.
