Peaslee and his family in Searsport, Waldo County, Maine ; married Washington Peaslee born June 4, 1817 in Jefferson, Lincoln County, Maine (next to Waldo County) died before 1900 – married November 22, 1844 in Prospect, Waldo County, Maine. He was a stonecutter. In 1870 Census they were living in Stockton, Waldo County, Maine. They had 8 children. i. David S. Peaslee born about 1845 in Maine. ii. Hellen L. Peaslee born about 1847 in Maine and died before 1850 it is thought. iii. Roxena ‘Rosa’ ‘Roxan’ Peaslee born 1849 in Maine. iv. Nora Peaslee born about 1850 in Maine. v. Mary Elizabeth ‘Lizzie’ Peaslee born 1855 in Maine; married Samuel G. Staples born about 1846 in Maine. Living with in-laws in 1880. vi. Horace G. Peaslee born January 1859 in Searsport, Waldo County, Maine and died 1916 1859 in Searsport, Waldo County, Maine; married Mary Carver Blanchard born 1860 in 1859 in Searsport, Waldo County, Maine died 1939 in Highlands, Macon County, North Carolina – married about 1886. Mary was called ‘Aunt Mame’ and cared for her sister/first cousin’s orphaned children and also adopted a boy from Venezuela born about 1887. vii. Nellie B. Peaslee born about 1861 in Maine. viii. Merrill H. Peaslee born about 1865 in Maine. 1900 living with Horace.
