Thnak you for the information. Hartley's brother Simeon - my grandfather - was lost at sea several months before my father was born. All his siblings moved away from Newfoundland and eventually all contact with the family was lost.
I tried the Massachusetts geneology because the Newfoundland fishery had strong connections to the Boston area and I felt that the boys might
have followed that route.
