Does anyone have information on the John A. Smith family (DOB about 1804). John was married to Rebecca Sutherland. John and Rebecca's son James Edward, DOB 1840, was married to Harriet Spell. Harriet was from DeSoto Parish LA. James Edward was born in Jasper, Texas, but moved to Louisiana, served in a Civil War unit from DeSoto Parish, and later they both moved to Comanche, Texas. I need proof of date and place of birth of all of the above. My information is from family records. Any information will be appreciated. Sarah
