I am looking for the names of the parents and other ancestors of William Batey SAYERS b 15 Sep 1821. From land records we know the Sayers farm in Rockcastle County (Lincoln County when purchased) was purchased in 1805 by a John Sayers. We know that Sayers have lived on the farm since its purchase, however we can find no record of the names of John's spouse or children. There is an Ab. Sawyers, but no Sayers, on the 1820 and 1830 census. Our great grandfather was William Batey Sayers who is listed on the 1860 (and later) census. We do not know his parents' names. His spouse was Mary Jane Brown b 19 Apr 1839, and their children were Sarah Helen (Hedie), Mary Batey (Mollie) Hamm, William Emmet, Samuel and our grandfather, John Nelson. Does anyone know of a Sayers family Bible or other information?
