I have found my great-great-grandfather in the 1890 Veterans Schedule with his home listed as Scaffold Cane, Rockcastle, Kentucky. Can anyone tell me where Scaffold Cane is? Was it a home for Cicil War Veterans or something like that? The Post Service address is listed as Cananry(couldbe spelled wrong) it is hard to make out. His name is James Ambrose.
