Owsley County, Kentucky Historical Society

As you read this, please mark your calendars for the upcoming meeting to be held at the Action Place in Booneville, Kentucky on Friday, January 17th begining at 6 p.m. The purpose of this meeting is to set goals for and elect the officers for the newly formed Owsley County Historical Society.

This notice will be posted weekly as a gentle reminder to join us. So many residents and readers of this article have family roots here in Owsley. Let's come together and integrate our family histories and genealogies. This will be a treasure you will be able to leave for your children; grandchildren and more generations to come.

As with any not-for-profit organization, the success will depend on volunteers that have a passion for family history and genealogy. If you have been looking for an area to share your talents the Society will appreciate your energies and time. Come and be a part of this group!!
