I'm not sure if were connected, but just in case... My G.G.Grandfather Edward Greenawalt was born 1827 in Kentucky. I think his parents were John Michael Greenawalt & Elizabeth Murphy. Edward moved to Effingham Co., Ill. He married Mary Susan Tedrick (from Maryland). Their daughter Anna Bell Greenawalt (born 1866)married Alfonso Stevens 27 May, 1886 in Effingham County. Edward Greenawalt died 23 Sept. 1879 Bishop Twp., Effingham, Illinois. He might be buried in Dietrich cemetery (some Stevens are).
