Looking for William H. Greenwalt. enlisted in the 122nd Infantry div., in Macoupin, Ill., in 1862. he enlists with two other Greenwalts. maybe cousins. he is injured and requires a hospital stay and leaves at the end of February, 1863 and have no idea what happened to him. He becomes a deserter. Who are his parents? where do they come from? Who are his siblings? What happened to him? If he is my Greenwalt, he was born in KY in abt. 1838 -1840! He marries Mary Green. their 1st child is born in 1863. He later moves to MO.
