I am trying to verify some information that keeps popping up in family folklore stories. It seems my g-g-g-grandmother was killed by a tornado that barreled through Livingston County, Illinois in either 1866 or 1868. Does anyone know anything about that tornado? If so, does anyone know when it hit, where it touched down at, how many were killed, and who were killed? Does anyone have access to newspaper articles about such a tornado?
