Can anyone tell me if there was or is a Mental Institution or hospital in or near Marshalltown, Iowa, ca. 1900-1925. I am looking for a lady with the last name of Gray-who was supposedly admitted for treatment after having a baby. Apparently she had to stay in the institution-and her husband being in the navy had to leave and left the baby in the care of another family,
where the baby remained all of his young life. The only info that I have at this time is that the original parent's last name was GRAY. Any help would be appreciated.
