STOKES FAMILY from New York

Is there any one out there that knows anything about the STOKES family that moved from Ulster/Dutchess Countys New York to Los Angeles County CA, between 1920-1930? They show up on the 1920 census in Dutchess County NY and on the 1930 census in Los Angeles, CA. This would be my G-Grandmother's brother and his family. I remember visiting them in the summer 1959. We drove from FL to CA. Thank You, Joyce
