Jess Franklin b. 1824 Blount Co., Tennessee, married Nicie Garner in Crow Creek Valley, Franklin Co., Tennessee. They moved to Liberty Twnshp., Van Buren Co., Arkansas in the mid 1850's. Their children were George Washington Franklin, Elizabeth "Betts" Franklin, Margaret "Peggy" Franklin, Thomas Jefferson Franklin. George Washington Franklin was killed during the Civil War, Elizabeth "Betts" married Cosien Greene Scroggins, Thomas Jefferson Franklin married Nancy ?, Margaret "Peggy" married Marion Koone of Van Buren Co. I have so much wonderful data on the Garner Line, and absolutely nothing on Jess Franklin's heritage. I know there must be other descendants in the Van Buren Co. area.
