We the people should have the choice to make our county wet or dry. Today there are no alcohol sales outside the "clubs" in Harrison, AR. The Golf club, Hotel clubs, and Seville just to name a few. However there are no package sales...
A Dry vote would mean that there would be NO alcohol sales in Boone County by any entity regardless of club affiliation. Any club or organization currently selling alcohol within the county has 90 days to halt alcohol operations to avoid prosecution.
A wet vote would mean that alcohol sales are allowed within the county by any legal entity determined by the state regardless of club affiliation. Any and all would have to apply for a state liquor license. Any club or organization currently selling alcohol within the county has 90 days to apply for a state liquor license or halt alcohol operations to avoid prosecution.
If you truly want to put this item to rest, then let’s get these options on the ballot! This is the ONLY WAY this issue will every be settled. Vote Dry if you want NO ALCOHOL sold within the county, otherwise vote wet.
It's time we either make our county wet or dry and stop being o.k. with keeping it moist or somewhat dry..... don't you??
Call, e-mail, and write the Prosecuting Attorney Ron Kincade. Let's get a real Wet or Dry vote on the ballot!
