I am seeking information on the Johnston family in Perry Co, AL in the early 19th century. My gg-grandfather, Chesley Johnston (b 1805 in SC) was there by 1830s where by g-grandfather Martin Lafayette Johnston was born in 1834. The family moved to Morehouse Parish LA in 1844.

I would like to find parents and siblings of Chesley Johnston. Think he had brothers named Samuel and Martin. Among his sons were the names Thomas Larkin, Francis Marion, Benjamin Franklin and Chesley Columbus. He was married to (second) Sarah Caroline Russell, b 1812 in GA.
