AJ fought in the Civil War for the Confederacy in many of the battles of Tennessee & Georgia. GA is where my wife is from & HER ancestor fought for Lee... he nearly got transferred down to help fight Sherman, but his unit was stopped in NCarolina. THAT would have been something that both of hers & my ancestor nearly fought in the same battles...lol Anyway, I hope some of this is useful. BTW, I notice that your last name might be Allen... my wife is an Allen out of Cartersville GA. Any possible connection there?
