I'm a direct descendant of our Andrew Jackson Farley, fondly known as AJ by our family.
I have some information that I would appreciate you doublechecking to see if there's anything there of mutual interest. This is AJ's immediate family before his children (I can find more on them in a couple days).

*ELIZABETH5 EVANS was born April 08, 1814 in Giles Co, TN, and died 1863.
- She married JESSE FARLEY.
He was born Abt. 1812, and died 1851 in Harrison Co, TX.
- She later married GEORGE TAYLOR MALONE. He died 1862.

Children of ELIZABETH EVANS and JESSE FARLEY are:
i. JAMES MONROE6 FARLEY, b. 1835; d. Unknown; m. LORETTA FRY; d. Unknown.
ii. MARTHA ANN FARLEY, b. 1837; d. Unknown.
iii. ANDREW JACKSON FARLEY, b. 1839; d. Unknown; m. MATTIE KNIGHT; d.Unknown.
iv. WILLIAM L. FARLEY, b. 1844; d. Unknown.    
v. JESSE FARLEY, b. 1845; d. Unknown; m. ELLEN FRY GOLDMAN; d. Unknown.
vi. JOHN T. FARLEY, b. 1848; d. Unknown.
vii. NANCY JANE FARLEY, b. November 07, 1850, Harrison Co, TX; d.Unknown; m. HENRY CLAY WILLIFORD; d. Unknown.*

AJ fought in the Civil War for the Confederacy in many of the battles of Tennessee & Georgia. GA is where my wife is from & HER ancestor fought for Lee... he nearly got transferred down to help fight Sherman, but his unit was stopped in NCarolina. THAT would have been something that both of hers & my ancestor nearly fought in the same battles...lol
Anyway, I hope some of this is useful. BTW, I notice that your last name might be Allen... my wife is an Allen out of Cartersville GA. Any possible connection there?
