My gg grandfather William F. Hoyl's death certificate lists his birthplace as Marshall Co., AL, 1832. I wonder if there would be birth records available from that time. I understand it was not named Marshall county until 1836. The only Hoyls I can locate in the area at the time are the famly of David L. Hoyle, and this may be a relative, but I don't believe it to be the immediate family of William F. Hoyl. His mother is believed to have been Susie Cooper and his father, Thomas Hoyl. I have not been able to find any of this family in the area. Any leads would be helpful.
