My great granfather was John Harvey Benson. He was born in this county 1-22-1873 to William Benson and unknown mother. The mother must have died because in August 1875 William wed Sarah E. Parker (daughter of William and Nancy Parker). She raised John as her own. Then children Charles Frank, Maggie Lee and Zachariah H. were born to William and Sarah. William died about 1893 and Sarah and her children, step son John and his family all moved to Ellis County, Texas as did Sarahs mother Nancy Parker Sutton and brother William Parker and his family and sister Lucinda E. Parker Kennemer and her family. I would like any info on who William Bensons parents were and also his first wife. I would also like any additional info on the Parkers. Thank you. Sarah Parker Benson, Nancy Parker Sutton and William and Rachel Bronner Parker are buried in the Palmer Cemetery in Ellis Co., Tx.
