My father George Henry Williams was born in Geelong, VIC, Australia on 25 Nov 1929. I am trying to trace members of his family, as he came to live in England following Naval service in the Australian Navy and studying at East Sydney Art School in 1960-1. My mother knows that he had a sister called Beverley who was a nurse and married an American scientist, but they lost touch. My dad was Roman Catholic and spent time in Queensland - 15 miles north of Townsville and my mother recollects that he also had brothers called Frank, Leslie and Terence. His father served in the Australian Army - called Henry George or George Henry and his mother was French. The name Galina was mentioned, but we are not sure if that was her knickname. The Williams family originally came from Cornwall to Ballarat. The name mentioned to me was William Williams.
