My great grandfather was Patrick Welch, born about 1870 in Matoon Ill. He ended up in Kansas City MO, married to Alice Brady. They had children: Viola, Kate, Frank, Bernie, Alice, Mayme and Madge. I am from Viola. Am searching for Patrick's parents, I know his mother was Bridget McElroy, but not sure about father, either Patrick or Peter Welch. Family story is that the name Welch was actually Walsh but after family squabble it got changed.
