Jack Webber was born in Loraine, Ohio, Aug 6th 1893. Jack left home at 14 years of age and worked on Ships in the great lakes for a couple of years. He found his way to the west coast by the time he was twenty one years of age. He worked with horses at the Livery Stable In Cumberland B.C., Before going to the Coal Mines. He was in the N). 4 explosion in 1921 and was one of the last to be rescued, because they thought he was dead. Jack recovered from that after a few years he worked for Canadian Colleries on the outside, before his eyesite was impared. He moved to Bevan in 1928 and remained there for the rest of his life, working for Canadian Colleries and the town of Bevan. He loved the outdoors, Fishing, Hunting, as well as Baseball and Soccer.
