Hello.
I think that perhaps somewhere down the line a 'washburn' ancestor went to Samoa and married a Samoan woman? Because I am of Samoan decent (but born in New Zealand) and I carry Washburn as my surname. My question is can anyone tell me where the name comes from? that would be awesome. To try and figure out where I fit in the Washburn family tree would be a mission and a half so I thought I might start with the basics.
