Looking for John Van Allen, Sr. and his wife Tacy (maiden name unknown) they had a son John Van Allen, Jr., who married Emmaline "Sarah" Chadwick on 24 Oct 1858, in Marion (Grant) Wisconsin. On their marriage record he said he was born in New York. Sarah was born 1841 Ohio. John, Jr. died 26 Jun 1864 in Vicksburg (Warren) Mississippi, during the civil war.

I am trying to connect to the other VanAllen families and find Tacy's maiden name & family with very little info on dates and places. John and Tacy may have had other children. Charles, Fremont, and Warren may be namesakes taken from this family. As John was repeated may times and Tacy was also given to a descendant.


If you have a John Van Allen, please sent a letter. Between my info and your info, we are sure to find some clues. Or at least make a few deductions for both of us.
