Hebron was born 24 Aug 1787, the son of Matthew Tilton and Sarah Dunham, daughter of Daniel and Sarah Huxford Dunham. Matthew was born 13 May 1740 at Chilmark, MA and married 20 July 1768. Sarah was born 26 Feb 1753/4 and died 3 July 1805. Matthew married a second time 1 Apr 1806 to Mrs. Mary Mayhew Dunham. All children from first marriage: Daniel, Olivia, Matthew, Zeliday,Sarah, Hebron, Cornelius, Llucinda, Parnel, and Samuel.
