Due to help help obtained in these postings, I have now the name of my greatgrandfather, Cosmus D. Stout's parents. They were Benjamin Stoudt born 1813 in either Montgomery or Berks Co. PA. The line can be traced back to Peter Stout, born in Essweiler, Palentinate, married to Maria Catherine....?
Also my greatX3 grandfather was Johan George Stoudt born in 1771. Montgomery Co. PA and he married Hannah "Anna" Sell.
I am still looking for the "story" that connects my great grandfather and the Indian heritage. It looks as though it must of been in one of the women one of the Stoudt's married.
Any information on any of these names would be greatly appreciated.
