I have a tree which dead ends with Samuel Sheldon Wood from the New England area. Seems he served in the Civil War, was in Massachusetts when he met Ellen (Ellen Louise Haynes Wood) and then moved west to Wyoming and/or Colorado. Ellen followed later. Sons were Herman, Samuel, and Ralph Waldo. Herman apparently died in Laramie, WY in the mid-late 1940's. His wife was Ella (Saratoga or Hannah). Their only child was Clarence Haines Wood who had two sons, Clarence H. Wood Jr. and Richard T Wood. I am Richard's son and am trying to learn more about this part of my blood.
