I found a Benjamin Scouten listed with the family of Edwin H. Edwards in the 1850 Fed Census. He was 9 at the time. Does anyone know what happened to him? I cannot find him anywhere after that. He was born in 1841. I don't know if he was orphaned,if he was Native American and adopted or just white and adopted, but would really like to find out. Thanks for any help!
