My 3rd great-grandmother was Mary RYAN, married to Edmund FOGARTY of Co. Tipperary. We have a record found in a family Bible which indicates that one of their sons, Patrick, was baptized 18 Jan 1849 at Loughmore Parish, Diocese of Cashel, with a note of "Ballybrista" next to that (townland?). Patrick's siblings are listed as John, Edmund, Ellen & Bridget. Also on the note it lists baptismal witnesses as Michael Ryan and Catherine Ryan...I am assuming they are either siblings or parents of Mary. My Patrick is said to have come to the U.S. at about age 14, but no info on who he travelled with, where he landed, etc. He eventually came to the Hamilton Co., Ohio area (Cincinnati vicinity), where he married Delilah BRATE. Don't know if this is of any help to you...
