I am researching my Rose family. I know my Rose family moved from MD to KY. I hope that someone will be able to help me in my search.

I have hit a wall at my GGGGF, Lenox Rose. Relatives who are also researching Lenox Rose concur that his birthdate occurred before 1770. Lenox Rose appears in the 1790 census of Montgomery County, MD. From that county he moved to Muhlenberg County, KY. His death date and burial site are unknown, although his will was probated in Muhlenberg County Jan. 3, 1838. Listed below are the few facts I have discovered about Lenox Rose. I hope that if you find any commonalities in your research you will let me know.

KNOWN: Given names that reoccur in the Rose family throughout following generations: James, Jane, Lenox

KNOWN: Lenox and Sarah (maiden name unknown) Rose of Muhlenberg County, KY had the following children: Jane, James, Sallie, Susannah

KNOWN: A partial list of families that moved from Montgomery County, Maryland to KY during the late 1700's, and have been associated with the Rose family in KY is as follows: William & Polly (maiden name: Rose) Casebier, Charles Whitehouse, William Fereday, Bell, and Row.
