Seeking information on my family antecedents. Does anyone know this Rogers line?
James Carroll Rogers b. 1836, TX (m. Nancy Elizabeth Howard, b. 1837, TX) > Samuel Everette Rogers, b. ca 1808, NC (m. Elizabeth Ann Cooper Sparks, MS) > Everette Rogers, b. ca 1770, NC (m. ? Barnhill, b. ? )> William Rogers, Sr. (no more infornation known.) We have some indications family was in Pitt Co. and Martin Co., NC. Later moved to Hardin Co., TN. Everette Rogers moved to MS and remarried after first wife died (m. Lydia Harrison Pickens, widow). Everette's daughter, Armizza Rogers, b. 1800, NC. first married Jeremiah Harrison Pickens, son of Lydia/Jonathon Pickens, and father Everette moved to MS to live near them.
