I'm descended from Philip "The Immigrant" and Sarah Kinchen Raiford. They were my 7th greatgrandparents. My ancestor, their son Philip Raiford II, founded the the "South Carolina Raifords.
My gggrandparents, Robert Andrew and Margaret Bryan Wyche Raiford moved to Marshall County, MS in time for the 1840 census with Rob's brothers William D., Thomas Woodward, James, and Malachi and baby sister, Elizabeth. I have my line complete to present and the William D. and Thomas Raiford's lines through the 1950s courtesy of Col. Raiford Payne of Forrest City, Arkansas.
