Looking for information on either Mahala or Amos Quick. I think they are either brother and sister or cousins.

Mahala was married to Harvey Jackson Kidwell and lived in Indiana. I do not know who her parents were.

I found an obituary for Rachael Bays Quick, the wife of Amos Quick in Mahala & Harvey Jackson Kidwell’s family bible. I am assuming Amos may be Mahala’s brother, because her birthdate is 4-18-1830 and Amos’ wife, Rachael Bays Quick’s birthdate is 9-18-1834.

Amos and Rachael moved to the old Quick Homestead, 3.5 N.W. of the 'city' and made a home in the woods. This part of the family seemed to live in the Madison co., IN area of the state (Anderson, Elwood, etc.)
