Granddad was born we believe 4th July 1875 in Aarup Odense DENMARK, my mother used to tell me in my childhood and teenage years that the PETERSEN family had a shop in Denmark that traded in a similiar fashion as our Woolworths used too, (sorry Woolworths, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia early 1900's), amounst the items my mother passed down to me is a small pipe tabacoo tin that granddad had in his private items when he passed on, mum told me she recalled seeing this tin in her very young days.
I also still have the letters my Granddad kept from his mother in Denmark, they are in Norse (Danish) and one day maybe I will find someone who can decipher the old letters for me.
